Haikus for a Change

The members of The Misplaced Modifiers, a writing group I belong to, all seem to be suffering from writers' block. I, for one, have not touched my novel in over two months, maybe three. It just has been hard to sit and write when the weather has been so wonderful. Mary challenged us to write haikus for our meeting this week and I am going to post whatever I come up with here for the next few days. Maybe it will help to get the creative juices flowing again. Enjoy!

Farmers’ Market day

Selling seasons’ first berries

Very few make it home.

Swallows chasing hawk

Five against one, fight to death

Mighty has fallen.

Early morning sun

Scratchy cat tongue on fingers

No need for alarm
